Improving Your Affiliate Income…
If there's one thing that irritates me about many online marketers it has to be laziness!
If, like me, you are on lots of Internet Marketers lists, you will immediately notice when a big launch is happening… purely because your in-box will fill up with hundreds of promotional emails!
My usual response is to set up an email filter to immediately redirect every single email that relates to that offer into a separate folder. Then, when I have time, I can simply go through that folder to see who is using which promotional strategy.
That enables me to quickly and easily see who too lazy to put any effort into their promotion… they are all using the exact same email copy provided by the product publisher. They just get deleted because there's nothing to learn from them… anyone can cut and paste!
OK, once we've eliminated the lazy copy cats, we can review the emails from people who are willing to really work for their affiliate income.
Here are a few lessons from my own observations…
- Tell a relevant story that explains how the product has helped you to achieve a positive results. Be specific… For example: "This software increased my sales by 33%"
- Write a real review and be sure to include both positives and negatives. An honest review that points out both the strengths and weaknesses of a product is much more credible than a glowing endorsement.
- Be open and honest about your relationship with the product and it's publisher. Explain that you are an affiliate and that you will make a commission from every sale that is made through your link. Then give them a reason to buy through your link. For example: "I'm promoting this product to make enough cash to go to an Internet Marketing Seminar"
