It's About Time…

If this is the first time you've visited my blog, you may wish to subscribe to my RSS feed. I really appreciate your visit, please do come back soon!

I guess that most of us spend at least some of our valuable time on forums. Forum marketing is an important element in any online marketers arsenal and they are great places to network with like minded people.

You just knew that a "However" was coming didn't you? ;-)

It seems to me that a lot of the more popular forums are losing their focus. There seems to be less real valuable business discussion and more meaningless chit chat. Even worse is the increase in general negativity and Guru bashing.

But the real problem is about quality… It frightens me when I see some of the bad advice and inaccurate information being given out by well meaning amateurs. It's just like the old saying… "The blind leading the blind".

So, when Robert Puddy told me about a brand new forum my immediate reaction was… "It's about time!"

Robert has invited a group of real experts to each moderate their own section, to control the environment and to ensure that the advice that you're getting is up to date, accurate and - more importantly - information that you can act upon.

The new forum is ready and waiting for you, a forum where the focus is on sharing quality information with people who are serious about taking their business forward.

But what's the catch?

Well, there's a price to pay to keep out the tyre kickers and the time wasters. That was the bad news. The good news is that you're one of the first people to know about Robert's new forum and if you act quickly you can get in for only $10 for a full year.

Keeping It In The Family…

Firstly, I've mentioned Sarah, my Daughter-in-Law, in previous blog posts. She's working very hard to get her new online business established and she's just released a brand new Private Label Rights package…

Her PLR package is currently available for $37.00 but if you enter the code VIP you'll get a very special subscriber discount.

Secondly, Would you like to download a software application with my compliments? Yes, there's nothing at all to pay…

I met a really good programmer a couple of months ago and I persuaded him to work with me in setting up an innovative new membership site. I want you to see the quality of his software… download your software from Monthly Software

Finally, check out the latest seven day deal… it's a great viral tool at an unbeatable price.

I've been "hoovering up" a lot of packages with resale rights over the past few weeks. Look out for a very special Fire Sale later this week!

Building link Popularity

One of the most effective ways of increasing traffic to any website is to increase its link popularity.

Now don't get me onto the whole Page Rank thing… PR is just an arbitary number. What I'm talking about is the number of other websites that link to your site. Link popularity is a measurable number!

So what type of links am I looking for?

Clearly, it's important that the links are from sites with a similar overall theme or topic and it's preferable that the text that links to your site contains a relevant keyword or, better still, a keyword phrase.

Link building can be very time consuming so I'll be outsourcing part of the job to a directory submissions service, links from directories all contribute to the link popularfity of a site, especially when your link comes from within a relevant category or sub-category.

I'll keep you posted on how things progress.

No, I Don't Need A Spell Checker!

I've just discovered a brand new website that I think is going to take off in a very big way. In my opinion it will become the business equivalent of MySpace.

My only problem is with the name they've chosen: "Apsense"

Yes, it's "Apsense and not the familiar Google "Adsense" but I guess we'll get used to it.

One of the things that I believe will make it such a great success lies in some of the functionality that they've built into it… You can connect with business individuals with common interests, meet new friends or business associates, start your business blog, and even build your own Apsense private social network!

As soon as you've opened your free account be sure to grab a no cost upgrade to VIP member (Only available to the first 5,000 new members) and then look out for the Apsense Express Desktop tool.

I firmly believe that integrating the ability to network from your desktop is an inspired move and it will be the one key thing that will make Apsense a huge success in the coming months.

Help Me With This Dilemma…

OK, I'm on a mission to follow some advice that Mike Filsaime gave me when we met up at Robert Puddy's Focus4 UK event last September.

Mike told me to focus on just one major project at a time and to stop allowing myself to be distracted by lots of new ideas.

It's ironic really, I've been flitting about like a butterfly instead of applying the butterfly principles!

So, I'm going to sell off some of my portfolio and here's where the dilemma lies…

If you were in my position, would you sell each site as a single entity or would you sell a limited number of PLR Licenses?

For example, one of the sites that I'm going to offer for sale will be http://www.ResaleLicenseManager.com

So, please let me have your vote…

A) Sell it as a complete site?

B) Sell a limited number of PLR?Source Code packages?

C) Sell a limited number of resale rights?

An indication of a suitable price would also help too.

As Scarce As Rocking Horse Manure?

Why are good Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP coders so rare?

Over the past few years I can count on just one hand the number of coders who can consistently and reliably deliver good quality work on time and within budget.

People like Joel Holtzman and Robert Plank (To name but two) stand out above the crowd.

I was working with a coder on a project which started some considerable time ago.

The first coder simply disappeared without trace having done maybe 70% of the work. It took me ages to find a replacement and the guy that took on the project has just messed me around for so long that he's just been fired.

So, now I'm stuck again, looking for someone who can..

    * Produce good quality work (Code that works!)

    * Keeps his or her promises by meeting deadlines

    * Can be trusted with confidential information

    * Can be relied on to keep me up-to-date on progress

    * Can work to an agreed specification and budget

    * Offers constructive feedback and suggests improvements

    * Understands that the documentation is just as important as the code

I have a number of projects in the pipeline so if you are, or if you know, someone who meets the above criteria (And can walk on water, then turn it into wine ) please let me know!

I'm happy to work with the right person (or people) on a work for hire basis or on a JV/Profit share basis.

Mike Filsaime Told Me To Do This…

I just know I'm going to regret this…

Quite frankly, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Last year at Robert Puddy's UK Focus4 event I was given some
incredibly good advice by Mike Filsaime. Mike told me to focus on
one "30 Day" project at a time rather than to try to juggle
multiple projects.

I implemented Mike's advice and my business results just
skyrocketed. But, I've fallen into my old ways and I now have far
too many projects on the go.

It's time for some drastic action, something just has to go. I
have to get my discipline back and focus on my key priorities.

I've always been interested in the Self Development Niche and
some time ago I developed an action plan to create a business coaching product.

I just don't have time to implement the plan!

Here's what's ready…

1. 50 page "How To Be Your Own Business Coach"
2. Series of Seven autoresponder messages
3. Set of 43 articles
4. Book Cover

All you need to do is to:

=> Grab a relevant domain name
=> Set up a squeeze page
=> Load the 7 messages into your autoresponder
=> Write a short sales letter
=> Sell the book as a PDF for $27
=> Re-write and use the articles to drive traffic to your site

This is a great opportunity to capitalise on a really hot niche
market, make some front end sales and maybe even sell the leads
to a business coaching company.

With The Private Label Rights To These Products, You Can:

=> Put your name as the author
=> Edit the contents and change the titles
=> Break the contents into articles
=> Break the content into multiple Special Reports
=> Offer the Basic/Master Resell Rights
=> Add into your paid membership site
=> Bundle into your unique paid package
=> Start your own affiliate program
=> Create a print on demand version

OK, I'm limiting this to just 30 13 lucky people at $39.97 each.

Hurry before I change my mind!

Seriously, the Personal development market is growing rapidly and
Business Coaching is a really hot topic. Anyone with a targeted
list could make a killing just by promoting affiliate products!

The Most Important Skill?

It's one of those questions that I often see in my in-box and on all the popular marketing forums… "What's the most important Internet Marketing skill?

Many people believe that they have to be good at planning and organisation, several people say that technical skills are the most important. But when you really think about it, the most important marketing skill has to be communication.

Just about everything we do is about communicating with our target audience… through our ezines, articles, autoresponder messages, press releases, forum posts and sales copy.

One of my favourite quotations says it all…

"If you want to discover your true opinion of anybody, observe the impression made on you by the first sight of a letter from him"
~~ Arthur Schopenhauer (1788 - 1860)

Granted that was written in the 19th Century, and even I can remember that the Internet came after then, but it is still true today that what we write and the way we write it can have a powerful effect on the way we are seen by others.

The next time you put the digital equivalent of pen to paper (Keys to Screen?) think about the way your message is received and if you want to improve your approach to writing sales messages…

If you want to make more sales more quickly then I urge you to read "Million Dollar Copy" by Paul Myers. After I implemented just two of the lessons in Paul's book I was able to increase the response to many of my promotional emails. My blog posts were attracting more comments and my copywriting improved
significantly.

Why don't you try it for yourself… if you actively apply the powerful lessons in "Million Dollar Copywriting" and your sales don't increase within 60 days, I'll personally give you a full refund!

Review Of Automatic Niche Profits

As the vast najority of my subscribers and customers will confirm, I don't just recommend Internet marketing products to line my pockets.

It's very important to me that I provide you with objective reviews so that you can truly make the best decision for you and for your business.

Sure, I do make money selling Internet marketing products as an affiliate.

But… I will only endorse something and put my name behind it if I am completely confident that the product lives up to, and/or exceeds, its stated values.

So what does that mean to you?  It means I review Internet marketing products before or after they are released to the public, and I share my honest opinion with my customers so they can make an informed decision.

This week's review is on a Private Label Rights membership site called Automatic Niche Profits.

When Paul Kleinmeulman first asked to take a look at his site I was frankly a bit reluctant… because there are so many Private Label Rights sites that I figured I was in for more of the same old same old. But I've known Paul for quite a while and I know he always delivers great quality so..

I wasn't surprised to find a very clean "back office" members area.  The products are very neatly organized and easy to locate.

My confidence in Paul was confirmed when I took a look at product number one (I won't disclose the product name to protect the rights of current and future members).

The main product was digital…an ebook.  That in and of itself is not extraordinary…but what is extraordinary was the quality.

You see, I read that ebook and I was impressed with the way it was written.  I also took a look at the sales letter that was included in the product #1 package, and it was obviously written by a professional copywriter.

Things were going a little too well, so I thought I would take a listen to the ebook audio's and watch the flash video that are included and they too are extremely well done and I would have no concerns whatsoever about putting my name to them.

The last component of this product package that I reviewed was the graphics.  While copy is always more important than graphics when it comes to marketing online…you DO need high quality graphics if you want to make sales.

There were more pieces to this package, like articles, and a big long keyword report…but these are the pieces that I really wanted to see.

These are the cornerstones to profitable products.  And these cornerstones were sharp…very sharp.

Paul's Automatic Niche Profits provides 2 product sets every month, all with the same bells and whistles as the first one I looked at…

So, I decided to keep nosing around to see if my experience was the same with this one.  And, it was.

All high quality, cutting edge stuff.

Here’s a brief list of everything included with the membership every month…

     1) 2 Professionally Written eBooks
     2) 2 Audio/Video Packages
     3) 400 Niche Articles
     4) 2 Professionally Written Sales Pages And Download Pages
     5) 2 Sets Of Customizable Graphics And Blog Design
     6) 2 Keyword Reports

And you get 2 of these brand new niche product packages every month.

There is almost no downside to this membership.  In fact, it looks as close to plug and play profits as possible.  But, it might be priced a tad higher than some of the other sites, at $47 per month. But when you consider the quality of the products and the fact that membership to the site is limited to a maximum of 500, I think that $47 represents excellent value.

One or two sales of any of the products included in Automatic Niche Profits would pay for the membership.

And frankly…if you don't believe that you could make a couple of sales of this stuff, then you may want to reconsider this business as a whole.

That brings me to one other possible downside to this membership site.  While they are providing top quality products and essentially handing you a turnkey business, you still need to sell those products in order to profit.

You’ll need to take action and put the marketing system into motion in order to make something of your business.  Without that, you’re just spinning your wheels.

The bottom line is that Automatic Niche Profits is a 5 star membership site.  The quality is unparalleled, and the cutting edge audio's and videos make selling these products a no-brainer in any market.

If in-demand, niche PLR products interests you, then I’d recommend getting over to Automatic Niche Profits soon.  This is a limited membership and there are only 500 total spots that will be sold.

Best of luck with your new PLR riches, and keep an eye out for my next product review.
